I used this little cookbook in an emergency while cooking away from my regular cookbooks - I do love my Kindle - and it had everything I needed for a lovely meal. We made aperitivos for a whole party, feeding friends with gluten intolerance - and with a bit of adjustment, also lactose intolerance - with no problems by using the recipes in this cookbook. Interestingly, nobody had considered the lack of regular flour, as the recipes were so good, you didn't question it.
As a person who is simply trying to keep gluten to a minimum I found the recipes in this book appealing. Sarah has put together 11 starter , 29 main course and 5 dessert recipes that are simple and with easy to follow instructions. Definitely a keeper for anyone who loves Italian food without gluten.
I have no idea whether gluten free food is a fad, or something that's more important from a medical point of view, but it seems like everybody is doing it. The hardest part for me would be giving up Italian food, which is pretty much all grains and dough. This shows how it's possible. One thing I would like to see however is more information about different brands of gluten free "flour" that actually taste palatable.
