a complete handbook
If you're a fan, you have to have this. Well done, carefully researched.
If someone is looking for a comprehensive discography of John Fahey's recordings, from the beginning up until the late '60s, look no further. A short bio, everything you could possibly want to know about every release. At least everything that is knowable. Excellent photos of labels, album covers. This is a reference book rather than a bio or a recreational read, but it fulfills the purpose for which it was written. I'm glad I got it, and I will probably get volume 2 when it comes along.
