Most Helpful Customer Reviews

We homeschool. We do SOTW. It was wonderful to have this book in all its color and glory open while I read SOTW1 to DS. It made pointing out geographic references a breeze. It also allowed me to point out a few things that were not covered in SOTW1. DS is in grade 3. We used this book right before we read to briefly talk about the terrain of the area and to relate it to our present day map. While reading, we used it to bring the story to life, such as when King Narmer united upper and lower Egypt. Then we would close the book and do the assigned map work from the SOTW1 Activity Book.
Kingfisher stuff as a rule is very good.
This has been a great visual resource for studying ancient civilizations with my kids (6 & 8).
