We spend our Saturday mornings with a quality brew, a page-turning book, and a trip to the park. Cleaning our presses seemed to get in the way of our favored activities, so we designed French Press Brewing Bags to make the process easier and faster.

A Baristsa's Guide to the Perfect Brew:

Hardware:
  • 8 Cup (1 liter or 34 oz.) French Press
  • French Press Brewing Bag
  • Ground Coffee (we recommend grinding fresh)
  • Kettle
  • Timer
  • Scale
  • Mug

Brewing:
  • Bring 29 oz (860 ml) of water to 206°F (96°C)
  • Place 8-10 tsp (54 grams) of ground coffee beans into the French Press Brewing Bag
  • Pull the drawstrings closed and tie
  • Place the French Press Brewing Bag into the beaker allowing the drawstrings to hang over the top
  • Add half of the water to the beaker and let sit for 30 seconds. This allows the coffee to "bloom" as gases are released and the coffee expands
  • Add the remaining water and let the coffee steep for 4 minutes
  • Press the coffee and pour into your favorite mug
  • Discard the French Press Brewing Bag
