Prophet, The

Kahlil Gibran's best-known work, The Prophet, is a book of 26 poetic essays written in English. Kahlil Gibran took more than 11 years to formulate and perfect this book. The Prophet represents the height of Gibran's literary career as he came to be noted as 'the bard of Washington Street'. The twelve illustrations in this volume are drawn by the author himself.
