The legendary Tex-Mex singer Doug Sahm became a hero in Scandinavia and the Sir Douglas Quintet had huge success there both on records and live. One of Doug's big fans was Lennart Persson, by many considered Sweden's most influential rock critic. Lennart passed away a few years ago but he left a note with his personal selection of all-time hits featuring Doug Sahm and the Swedish San Antonio label decided to release this CD of the original recordings.
