If your spa has two filters, one fitted on a low power recirculating pump and the other fitted on a high powered pump for jets, make sure the SpaCore CuZn is installed in the recirculating pump filter only. The SpaCore CuZn's all natural process, made possible by our unique reticulated KDF media, utilizes catalytic action and redox (reductions/oxidation) principal of dissimilar metals. When the spa water comes in contact with the reticulated KDF disc, a reaction takes place that forms copper and zinc hydroxides. These controlled releases purify the water creating a conditioned, stable environment that prevents scale and bacteria growth. KDF Media has been tested by the national science foundation and received NSF certification standards 42 and 61.

CuZn's reticulated KDF is currently used in commercial and residential applications, including the filtration of drinking water. Unlike other chlorine alternatives, The SpaCore CuZn will never cause staining. While chemical additives are not required in most cases, an a small amount of oxidizing sanitizer should be used in conjunction with our technology to boost performance. The SpaCore CuZn is compatible with Potassium Monopersulfate based oxidizing shocks. Simply add an MPS oxidizing mini shock every couple weeks, about 50 percent of the recommended dosage.
