The Stanley Rule and Level Company's Catalogue of Tools and Hardware 1870

The Stanley Tool Works was actually a merger of cousins in 1920, Stanley's Bolt Manufactory and Stanley Rule and Level Company. This catalog is before that merger, being published in 1870.

Headquartered in New Briton, Connecticut, the company has become synonymous for tools, but has manufactured hinges, tacks, and just about any hardware imaginable.

This catalog is special in many ways. There are several new items that came out in this period, like rules.
