The Three Graves of Roxy Doyle (Lady Gunsmith Book 2)

Searching for her father, famed bounty hunter Gavin Doyle, Roxy rides into Sunset, New Mexico. On Boot Hill she sees a crowd watching as a body is lowered into an open grave. The atmosphere is more celebratory than somber, which piques her curiosity. Dismounting to have a closer look, she makes her way up front to read the headstone:

HERE LIES ROXY DOYLE
LADY GUNSMITH
SHOT TO DEATH IN
SUNSET, NEW MEXICO

Stunned, she asks someone, â€œIs that really Lady Gunsmith?â€

â€œIt sure is,â€ comes the reply, â€œand her gettinâ€™ killed here is gonna put us on the map.â€

Roxy decides to keep quiet about who she is, and find out whoâ€™s claiming to have shot her. A man tells her, â€œShe wasnâ€™t killed here, she was killed in Telegraph, a town a few miles South of here.â€

Back on the trail she rides to the town of Telegraph where she discovers another headstone claiming:

SHOT TO DEATH IN TELEGRAPH
LADY GUNSMITH

And the people of Telegraph think that having Lady Gunsmith shot in their town is going to make Telegraph as famous as Tombstone.

But in Telegraph Roxy hears that the real place Lady Gunsmith was shot was in Vinton, New Mexico. She rides there and finds yet another headstone that announces:

THIS HEREâ€™S THE GRAVE OF
LADY GUNSMITH
SHOT TO DEATH IN VINTON

Roxy has encountered a lot of death in her search for her father, but this is the first time sheâ€™s ever come across her own graveâ€”three times! Her investigation leads her to encounter several gunmanâ€”some famous, some not. Now she not only has to prove that sheâ€™s still alive, but she has to do her best to remain that way in three towns who want nothing more than for her to be dead.
