Additional Information

Raised on the South Side of Chicago which is known for its huge Irish Catholic community, The Tossers emerged in the early 90's with their own brew of Celtic music fueled by a love of traditional folk songs and punk rock fury. After twelve years and four albums, The Tossers are back with The Valley of the Shadow of Death. It is a collection of songs that run the gamut from a requiem for Dee Dee Ramone to a scathing indictment of the war machine and the politics of profiteering. The Valley of the Shadow of Death was produced by Andy Gerber at Chicago's Million Yen Studios. Victory. 2005.

The Tossers seem to be fairly underrated. I admit that I am a huge fan of Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys, but The Tossers may be every bit as good. I only own three Tossers' albums so far, "The Valley of the Shadow of Death," "Agony" and "On A Fine Spring Evening," and they all rate five stars as far as I'm concerned. So if you're looking to start a Tosser's collection then this is a good place to start, and if you already have some of their music then you will enjoy this album as well.
Catchy album from an Irish-American band based out of Chicago. I had the opportunity to meet these guys in Boston on St. Stephen's Day in 06 and had a great time partying with them. Keep up the good work!
If you like "the Tossers" you'll like this album. You feel like you can actually smell whiskey breath of riotous bar patrons.
