Makita carbide-tipped SDS-Plus bits are for drilling hardened materials. This D-00876 bit comes in a bulk pack of 25. It will drill as far as 4" deep. With this bit, it is compatible with all hammers taking SDS-Plus type shank. The tip of the bit has a style called "Thruster" which helps the bit to stay put on the material and drill through. It has a reinforced ground flute for efficient dust removal. The diameter of the bit is 1/4-inch.
