After several months of researching on Amazon, Costco and other computer stores, I settled on this computer because it had the best specs. Wanted a 4K screen with good RAM and Intel 7 processor for speed to keep up with everything I can throw at this. I am not a computer Geek so I cannot tell you al the benchmarks speeds, but I can talk about this system as a lay person. Great screen resolution. I work from home frequently so I need a system powerful enough to allow me to do spreadsheets, PowePoints, connect remotely, etc. This does it all with no problem. I didn't realize this was touchscreen until AFTER I was playing around for 24 hrs.! Touch is great when you are moving (treadmill workout), My only "complaint" would be that the screen is not firm enough if you are touching it. It should be a little stiffer. In my opinion it wobbles too much for a touch screen. If you don't touch the screen, this will not be a problem for you. I only touch my screen when I am on...
It's truly an excellent laptop. It's extremely fast, looks great, and the touchscreen is awesome. It does however have 2 issues: 1) This one you can fix fairly easily! You *must* wipe the hard drive and put a fresh install of Windows 10 on it. Otherwise you get all of Toshiba's bloatware which slows the thing down, causes all kinds of annoyances (random updates, maybe even random errors), etc. Unfortunately Toshiba like most other laptop makers puts a bunch of junk on your machine. 2) This one I've had to live with. The power cord becomes unplugged *extremely* easily. If you had it plugged in and you move the laptop just a little the power cord loses connection. This usually amounts to an annoyance, until you want to grab your laptop and go and find out it has near 0 battery because it wasn't actually plugged in (even though it looks like it was plugged in!).
its great being a college student having the most unreliable laptop in the world. Other than being slow, constantly shutting down for updates the top keys now don't work after I updated it, the damn battery only last 3 hours and after about 6 months the battery completely died. "But that shouldn't be an issue if you plug it up to a wall right" apparently not because without any battery power it will just randomly shut off. Worst mistake buying this thing and I will never go for a toshiba in my life.
