I really enjoyed the tips for traveling with children that Nate McHenry put in his "Minimalist Travel Guide," so I thought it was worth at least checking out his "Traveling With Kids" guide too.

I'm REALLY glad I did.

My husband and I both have A LOT of family around the world (including some of our parents and siblings) which means we really "have to" take big family trips on a semi-regular basis (as often as the wallet will allow it...).

Since having kids, these trips have undoubtedly become much more daunting to the point that I kind of dread going to visit family these days just because of all the havoc it will cause in our lives.

"Traveling With Kids" provides loads of great tips and suggestions, not just for how to be better prepared but, also, for how to create truly beautiful memories with your family.

Definitely worth reading if you want to create awesome vacations with your kids.
As a parent of six children, I wish this book was available when I was traveling with kids. Family vacations are great memory makers. This fact really hits home when the children are grown and the stories of great vacations from the past are related at family gatherings.

However, oftentimes when you are in the middle of a vacation crisis, you wonder what in the world possessed you to go on this vacation with six kids! That's when you need the info available in this book. Filled with down to earth advice and real life experiences, you'll find this book of great value.

From planes, to trains, to automobiles all types of transportion and ensuing problems are discussed. There's also a section on medical problems and emergencies that will come in handy should you experience any of these.

Keep this on your Kindle when you go on vacation for a valuable reference. You'll find yourself referring to it again and again.
I wish I had read this book when our kids were young but now with Grandchildren will be able to put it to good use. Holidays don't need to be nightmares when you are armed with the information in this book. There is too much focus on 'things' in our lives today when really it is the memories of things we have done and experiences we have had that count. It certainly is the journey that is part of the experience not just the destination. The practical tips given in this book will make for some memorable vacations.Being armed with ideas to keep everyone happy along the way will make a huge difference.
