The Traxxas Summit offers versatility, durability, and off-road capability greater than any other 4WD monster truck on the market. Only Summit gives you transmitter-operated locking front and rear differentials and a high/low transmission. Tear up the trail in "high range" with a 25:1 ratio for dirt-slinging speed or drop it into "low range" for a 70:1 ratio and unreal climbing torque. Summit also lights up the night with LED illumination. Four bright white LEDs blaze the trail ahead, while six red LEDs show where Summit's been. Summit has the largest motor of any electric monster truck, the Titan 775. The integrated fan keeps the motor cool for nonstop off-road adventure, and an extra wrap of steel around the can gives you more torque to conquer any climb. The Traxxas EVX-2 delivers up to 16.8V to the motor and features three drive profiles, thermal shutdown protection, and low-voltage detection for LiPo battery packs. All of the Summit’s electronics are waterproof so the fun doesn’t stop when the trail turns muddy or wet. Massive high-traction Canyon AT tires and Geode rims are driven by heavy-duty telescoping drive shafts. Dual steering servos provide a total of 250 oz.-in. of tire-turning torque. Summit’s bolt-on fender flares and tube-style ExoCage skeleton are as rugged as they look and provide genuine protection for the aggressive SUV-style body. The TQi 2.4GHz transmitter is fully adjustable and can be equipped with a Bluetooth module that turns your Android, iPad® iPhone® or iPod touch® (sold separately) into a powerful tuning tool. Automatic model recognition instantly recalls your settings for up to 30 Traxxas Link-enabled models. Summit requires two 7-cell NiMH or two 2-cell LiPo batteries. Integrated dual battery compartments accept a variety of NiMH and LiPo configurations to unlock Summit's power potential.
