Trials of Reflection: Havoc on the Hike

A group of four longtime friends go on a weekend-long excursion to Upper Hills Campgrounds & Nature Preserve, for a couple of days of adventure and relaxation. Upper Hills is not only a place of majestic beauty and scenic marvels, but little to the group's realization, it also holds a terrifying and deadly secret, one which will test their strength, resolve and friendship to the absolute limit. During one of their hikes, the weather decides to make their stay a most unpleasant one. A massive storm develops and begins slowly closing in, threatening not only their trip, but their lives. Panic and dissension begin to crack their once-unbreakable bonds as they struggle to agree to a solution to their predicament. On their route back to their campsite, the storm arrives and turns the scenic Upper Hills paradise into a veritable Hell on Earth. Just when they think that things couldn't possibly get any worse, they fall into a deep sinkhole, injuring themselves and falling unconscious upon their landing. They awaken to find a large, mysterious entrance door in front of them. They open the door and unwittingly enter the Trials of Reflection, a series of increasingly difficult, time-restricted challenges that must be solved before the clock expires and a deadly trap activates that will destroy them all. The challenges consist of three categories: Math, Science, and Physical. Help can be requested for nearly all challenges, but at the cost of a time penalty. Additionally, incorrect responses or missteps also result in penalization, so they must think quickly and clearly.
