This is a U.S.Solid 3.15 L Cryogenic Container Liquid Nitrogen Dewar Tank. This tank make use of Dewar technology; the insulating process of using a vacuum area in between two aircraft grade aluminum alloy walls. This tank is portable and lightweight weighing approx. 7.5 lbs. empty (about 13 lbs. full) which makes it easy to use in a hospital or kitchen setting.
This LN2 container comes with 6 canisters with attached straws for storing inside the container and a padded insulated cover with straps for ease of transportation and reduces LN2 loss.
Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) has a variety of uses. The widest use of LN2 is of course cryogenic storage; storage of anything you want to keep cold. However, there are other uses for LN2, such as Cryofrying. Cryofrying is a term used in Modernist Cuisine that refers to lightly cook a meat to brown on both sides, flash freezing the meat in Liquid Nitrogen, and then deep frying the meat until done. Using this technique will cook your meat to a perfect medium rare. LN2 is also used in the making of ice cream.
Whatever the use for LN2, you will need a container for storing your Liquid Nitrogen.
