But, before now there was nothing designed for this. We tried cheap pocket notebooks, but they never held up well. We tried Field Notes, but we couldn't tear out the pages easily. We tried spiral bound reporter style notebooks, but we hated the spiral binding.

None of those worked for us, so we made our own. That's how the Pocket Notebook was born.
