This book is the second in a series of two books written by a retired Wisconsin Game Warden. The book contains a collection of true stories that give the reader the opportunity to experience what it is like to conduct the work of a conservation warden. The book examines the enforcement of laws to protect unique natural resources such as ginseng, fresh water mussels, sturgeon roe, and timber resources. There are additional stories in which the author shares strategies officers have used to apprehend people poaching Wisconsin's fish and wildlife resources. The stories range from very funny to very sad, reflecting the reality that an officer never knows what each day will bring.
