- Functions: The underground cable locator is designed to detect cables, electrical lines buried in walls or underground, as well as fuses and current circuits. It can also detect interruptions and short-circuits in cables and wires. Note: The black cable needs to be connected to a ground plug for grounding when detecting a breakpoint. When testing multi-core cables, the other cores must be grounded together.
- Measurement: This underground wire locator features a built-in AC/DC voltmeter function, allowing for linear measurement of 12 to 400V AC/DC voltage. It has a wire tracer range of up to 3-4 feet in depth and 2000 feet in length. Note: the maximum test length and depth may vary depending on the soil type.
- Self-Inspection: The transmitter includes a self-inspection function to detect its own working status, displaying it on the LCD screen for user reference. The LCD screen of the locator is equipped with backlight for use in low light conditions and a flashlight for working in darkness.
- Display: Both the transmitter and receiver display preset transmitting power, transmitted codes, battery energy levels, mains voltage detected, AC/DC status of mains voltage detected, and warning symbols fomains voltage, Both units can operate in mute mode.
- Auto&Manual Mode: The receiver sensitivity can be adjusted manually or automatically. During operation, you can adjust the sensitivity in real time according to the actual application scenario to meet your needs. Note: By default, the device starts in automatic mode. For accurate results, switch to manual mode and lower the sensitivity.
- Wide Application: This underground cable locator is widely used in communication cable construction, power cable construction, and maintenance of communication cables, power supply lines, and electric heating lines. Most importantly, if you are testing multi-core cables, all but the target cable must be grounded. Please note that the instruction manual you receive may be for the yellow model, but it applies to the red model as well, since the only difference is the color. The buttons and functions are identical.
