Version 3 Replacement Burr for the JavaPresse Manual Coffee Grinder Differences between previous versions and Version 3: 1) Version 3 uses a patent-pending interlocking plug with tapered side surfaces, and a cylindrical upper portion, which together enables a more secure engagement between the interlocking plug and ceramic burr. This eliminates the "wiggle" or "play" that inevitably happens with spring loaded coffee grinders, and ensures superior consistency over previous burr models. 2) Version 3 uses Polyamide Nylon 6 instead of ABS plastic to lock into the burr. This improvement in material elasticity, combined with the improved burr design mentioned in (1) allows for a 25% faster grind and increased durability.
