Tons of information from how to select a new slow cooker with extras to checking out an older hand me down to see if it's worth keeping, to preparing ingredients the night before and stashing them in the fridge in the cooker's insert so you can bolt out of the door in the morning, right down to cooking and cleaning tips.

And who knew you could prepare so much in a slow cooker? My mind was on all-day-one-dish-entrees, but here you have everything from appetizers, to hot mulled drinks, breakfasts, soups, chillis and stews, side dishes, fondues, and a slew of desserts.

Well formatted, offers nutritional information for the recipes. Excellent recipe book.
This is a terrible cookbook. Only buy it is you are an extremely inexperienced cook or maybe for a teenager who is learning. All of the recipes call for either canned beans, frozen pre-cut vegetables or canned sauce. The chili recipe calls for "chili spice packet". I'm sorry but a cookbook that can't even list the spices needed is ridiculous. I don't see the point of slow cooking if you aren't going to put an ounce of effort in beforehand. And personally, I don't see the point in cooking for 10 hours in a slow cooker and using canned beans. If you want quick, cook quick. Most of these recipes can be made much quicker in a regular pot on the stove. Super disappointed.
Just what I was looking for. The variety and healthy ingredients make this a really good book. Slow cooker vegetarian recipes are difficult to find, Thank you.
