Verocious Motorsports Stainless Steel V-Band Clamp Kits utilize an interlocking "Male/Female" flange design for easy alignment and to aid in sealing. Our economic V-Band Exhaust Clamps are superior to traditional bolted flanges in many way. Our "quick release" style clamps are easy to disconnect, only needing to be loosened enough to flip the latch off of the t-bolt head, and allow for replacement of the T-Bolt should they gall up after extended use. Other benefits also include weight savings, no more gaskets, lower profile joints, and 360°rees; of pressure on the seal.
All of our stainless steel v-band kits include a male flange, female flange, t-bolt quick release clamp, stainless hex nut (mock-up), stainless nylon locking nut (intake use), and a coated alloy steel self locking nut (exhaust use). We highly recommend the use of a high temperature, nickel based, anti-seize during final installation. Before re-using previously used locking nuts, make sure they are still serviceable and retain their locking capability.
Verocious Motorsports V-Band Kits include CNC machined flanges that are 3/4" thick, helping to prevent warping during initial fabrication and from the heat cycling during use. We also recommended clamping the flanges together during the welding process so the whole assembly acts as a heat sink to help prevent warping. Wait until the material has cooled before disconnecting the clamp. Our flanges also feature a male/female interlocking design that helps align the joint prior to clamping. This design also aids in forming an air tight seal by forcing the air to try to work its way around three mating surfaces, rather than just one like on flat faced flanges. Flanges are all counterbored for the tube to make fabrication as simple as possible.
Note: All clamps under 3" utilize 1/4"-28 thread hardware, 3" and larger utilize 5/16-24 thread hardware.
