The Vic Firth HingeStix add a slight modification to the SD1 sticks to make them an excellent training tool for early percussionists. These sticks feature adjustable plastic pads that allow to position the thumb, index finger, and middle finger for the ideal fulcrum. These pads allow students to find the perfect balance point every time they pick up their sticks while developing proper finger technique. These swivel pads can be unscrewed and adjusted to the players desired location.
