- Equipped with motion activation, the red dot will automatically shut off after 10 minutes when the auto-shutoff feature is turned on. By allowing the unit to shut off, the dot will turn on automatically the next time it's picked up.
- The Defender-XL is powered by a top loaded, CR2032 battery. Although battery life varies based on user habits, the battery runtime with the red dot continuously active at setting 6 is 25,000 hours.
