What makes our drain plug unique outside its flawless craftmanship and top notch materials is the heart of it, a HIGH TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET. Our plug uses a rare earth high strength neodymium magnet, rated specifically to function in high temperature environments extracting unwanted ferrous particles from your vehicles engine. The VOTEX drain plug will operate in temperatures to 150Â°C or 302Â°F. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250 degrees, but starts breaking down once you reach 275 degrees. The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 to 230Â°F, so our magnet will work in temperatures far past that of engine oil.

Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, and we use one of the strongest grade versions available. Our magnet has the strength to hold weights over 2.2lbs! This empowers our plug with enormous strength to effectively pull these unwanted metals out of your motor oil resulting in longer engine life.
