I've never had one before, but the flow is so soothing. I'm not sure about all the "benefits" they say it has, but I honestly just love what it adds to my decor. It's a lovely piece. cleanse your air. *****i am totally hooked on these salt lamps. I ordered 4 more for all around my house. I feel the air is cleaner and I do breathe so much easier after they have been on. Has a great dimmer for night-time too. that would be a nice room decoration *****i don't know how they can make a lamp structure with salt! anyways, the yellow light in the dark room feels very romantic. I am planning to buy another one to have both the lamp on two sides of the bed. That would be a nice room decoration. There is a brightness controller. Attached picture shows 3 different brightness intensity at the same room darkness. great lamp, new dimmer works well *****my salt lamp has been a great addition to my bedroom. I leave it on at night so it emits a soft glow that makes it easy for me to get up and go to the bathroom at 3Am without falling over something, haha. When I received my lamp in the mail, a few large chunks had sadly broken off during shipment but I used Gorilla glue to put it back together and it's almost like new now. The thin cracks give it character, right I did buy this with caution because I saw many reviews stating that the dimmers would melt or catch on fire, but the listing States that they started using a new one so I went for it. I've had my lamp for almost 2 months now and I've never had any problems with their new dimmer. I've had my lamp on, at most, for 2 days at a time and nothing has ever happened. This is a great lamp, but if I had any Suggestions it would be that they use more protection during shipment such as bubble wrap and peanut.
