Kit contains two straights, 3 Trees (70mm x 150mm),1 Large bag of tree and hedge foliage, 1 bag of medium North European Grass (10g), 1 bag of medium dark green hedge foliage, 1 small bag of mixed flowers foliage, 1 small bag of red berry foliage and gate (gate sold will be solid, not depicted in photo) Can be used with or without trees and gate. Straights are 30mm Width, 30mm Height and 190mm Length. (You can build up the height with the foliage by 45mm) In Normandy, the bocage acquired a particular significance in the Chouannerie and during the Battle of Normandy, as it made progress against the German defenders difficult. In response, the Rhino tank was developed; a modification added to the front of tanks to aid them cut a hole through the bocage. American personnel usually referred to bocage as hedgerows. The German army also used sunken lanes to implement strong points and defenses to stop the American troops on the Cotentin peninsula and around the town of Saint-Lô.
