This is a story about tragedy, survival and triumph.

Hanna and Railey Laine, with their daughter Chenny, are hitchhikers who love the freedom of the road. No responsibilities, just enough money from handouts to get by on and unrestricted choices about where they wished to travel.

But their lifestyle belies the dark underside of hitching with it's untold dangers when Railey dies.

Then Chenny is taken from Hanna when she is just beginning to heal from the loss of Railey.

Heartbroken by the loss of her daughter, Hanna accepts a job as a waitress at a roadside diner in the dim hope that one day Chenny will find her way back.

Will mother and daughter ever be reunited?
