When the Monkeys Came Back

When Marta was small, the valley she lived in was full of trees and monkeys. Then men came from the city and cut down the trees. When the trees disappeared, so did the monkeys. Years later, Marta returns and plants trees. The trees grow into a forest, and one day the monkeys came back. This story, set in Costa Rica, tells of one woman's dream for her village, and how she made it come true. Full color.
