This e-book contains 14 full-length illustrations. It is the second book in the "Monjee the Monkey" series, but is also perfect as a stand-alone book.

In the second book of the series, "Monjee the Monkey", Monjee has trouble obeying his mommy.

When he asks his mommy if he can go to the river to play, she makes it very clear that the river is off-limits; he is to completely stay away from the river! Monjee has played there many times before, sometimes alone; other times with friends, and has never encountered the dangers his mom talks about. Could she be right about the river being a dangerous place? Will he go again to find out?

Read this second book in the series to find out!

In an attempt to put it briefly, "Will Monjee Listen to Mommy?" is a more than impressive read and the reactions I've seen so far from kids I've read it to have been nothing but positive.

As a sequel to the first Monjee book in the series, I think book 2 is great in regard keeping the entertaining vibe, a strong underlying theme, and amazing illustrations that helped the first book turn out to be a success for my household. It’s nice to know that the author understands exactly what readers are looking for when it comes to children’s books, so I’m glad to see that she can keep up the momentum so far. With all that being said, I still think this book is great as a standalone and I think my younger family member that I read it with enjoyed it just as much as the first – which of course leaves me more than satisfied yet again! I’m very happy with author Jasmine Bejar’s work and I will definitely be checking out some more in the future... Read more
This is an exceptional book in the series about Monjee the Monkey and his adventures. This time round author Jasmine Bejar explores the adventures of Monjee and the troubles he gets into for disobeying his own mother. The book is a masterpiece, especially considering its young target audience.
Jasmine is actually demonstrated in the simplest way possible the price of disobedience. In other words, his story teaches children a lesson about obedience and the need to listen to parents. I highly recommend this reading because children will definitely like the creative illustrations as well as the rhyming style the book is written in.
Definitely a five-star piece!
A lot of parents tell their kids not to do things, but they don't explain them why. This story shows the why in a child-friendly way. Monjee the monkey is told not to go to the river, to play where here usually plays. What mamma monkey doesn't know is he's been to the river before, but this time Manjee discovers a crocodile, the crocodile gives chase. When he gets home, the mother doesn't punish him because that scare is punishment enough, and Monjee promises never again to disobey his mother.

Good lessons, and very topical considering the brouhaha over the kid that got eaten by an alligator in Orlando.
