She was liberated after 14 years. In this volume, she recounts a spiritual experience that helped her through a challenging prison incident. The book adds to the literature about communist prisons that has appeared in English in recent years. Aspazia Otel Petrescu wrote several volumes in her native Romanian, and this is the first translation of her work in English.
