TRC 14650 006-6 Shockshield Portable GFCI Single Outlet Adapter with Surge Protection, 15-Amp, White. White GFCI single outlet adapter. Provides GFCI and surge protection for appliances used indoors, portable size measures less than 3-inches H x 2-inches W. Turns any outlet into GFCI receptacle, trip level: 4-6 mA. Trip response time for ground fault less than 25mS and grounded neutral trip, MOV rated at 314 joules. 120V/15A portable GFCI works with Power Tools, Saws, Drills, Extension Cords, and Lighting applications. The primary cause of shock and electrocution in the home is an electrical condition known as Ground Fault. The problem is so extensive that the National Electrical Code mandates the use of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters for all bathroom, kitchen, basement and garage outlets in all new homes in the US.
