Working with the Geoboard, Grades 5-8

The geoboard has a wide range of uses in the study of geometry, from constructing very simple shapes to making many advanced geometric and algebraic concepts easier to understand.

Using Working with the Geoboard as their handbook, teachers are sure to get the most out of this versatile tool for math understanding. Armed with a 25-pin geoboard and the activities in this book, students calculate area and perimeter; explore the properties of quadrilaterals, triangles, and other polygons; discover formulas; and work with number patterns, the coordinate plane, and rotations and symmetry.
