For years, people have asked me to write a book of hymns to add to my series of World of Harmony Music books. I asked hymn lovers around the world for a list of their favorites and narrowed the list down to 14 hymns which not only sound beautiful on the zither, but also have really interesting stories behind the music. You can choose to play just the familiar melody, or you can add optional harmony notes for a more beautiful sound. I'll even help you learn to play them! For Music Maker, Small World Toys, T.K. O'Brien's, Appalachian Spirit Folk Instruments, and Melody Harp zithers or lap harps. (For Melody Harps, tune F strings to F sharp. Not recommended for First Act or Happy Hape, as those are smaller instruments.)
