The kits have all come quickly and arrived without any missing, damaged or DOA parts. Aside from the horrible instructions these kits are pretty standard and an easy/cost effective way to add HID lighting to your vehicle. Things you should know before you order this or any HID kit.
Higher temps DO NOT equate to brighter bulbs. I've seen too many a**holes driving down the road with the 12,000k to 20,000k red/purple bulbs in their late 90's and 00's reflector housings. First off you can’t see more than 50ft in front of you and now you are flooding the rest of us with unfocused obnoxious light. Stock halogen headlamps produce anywhere between 800 to 1500 lumens (at their brightest). Stock HID headlamps are in the 4300k to 5000k-temperature range and have an avg. lumen output of 3000 to 3500 lumens. Increasing your HID temperature is ONLY GOING TO CHANGE THE COLOR, not the brightness.
Get the right headlamp housing. Look at a vehicle that comes...
I ordered the 880 bulb 10k hid kit for my fog lights on my srt and I got it In two days installed them it was super easy to do and they work perfect and look great I also have the xentec 10k hid in for my low beams it looks great!
I'd have given it five stars if it actually looked brighter than my halogens I was using, but I think it could be due to the fact that I'm using 8000K Bi-Xenon bulbs @ 35w. Another reason for not giving it 5 stars was the omission of any instructions, but once I played around with it for an hour I had working HID headlights. I wouldn't let myself search for a manual online. I didn't permanently mount it yet, because I'm waiting for my new buckets to get here (in two days) but I can't wait when I get a package and had to put them in. I drive to work at 5:15am every day and was driving with one headlight for a month. I had a nice ride this morning and all reflective surfaces show so much better. It looks dimmer elsewhere, but I blame the blue light it gives off. I'd have gone 6000k, but they only had 8000k in Bi-Xenon. Here's what they look like on a 87-93 fox body Mustang with crappy lenses and broken marker light. If I remember, I'll post an update with the new assemblies.
