- 3 conductor 3.5mm (1/8") TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) male connector
- Essential adapter when using standard headphone / auxiliary extension cables
- 9-inch black adapter cable; gold plated connector
4 conductor (TRRS) plugs typically have 3 black insulating rings and 3 conductor (TRS) plugs typically have 2 black insulating rings.
This adapter is only to convert a 4 conductor TRRS plug or stereo headset and microphone plug to a 3 conductor TRS plug or stereo headphones plug. This is ideal when you want to extend the stereo headset that came with your smartphone with a regular headphone extension cable. This is not intended to work with the microphone. If you need to extend your TRRS stereo headset & microphone, you need to use a 4 conductor extension.
