Who should wear Zensah Tech+ compression socks
Made in Italy and extra-durable:
Prevent injury and alleviate shin splints
True graduated compression
Zensah Tech plus compression socks are engineered with Elite construction for improved muscle support and injury prevention for running, cycling, traveling, or everyday wear. Each pair of running compression socks features graduated compression - meaning there is a greater amount of compression in the ankle area of the compression sock than in the calf area of the compression socks. This helps to improve venous return, allowing for faster recovery, reduced fatigue and better performance when using these compression socks for running. Whether using the compression socks for running, travel and any sport, the Zensah compression socks feature a seamless toe and anatomical fit to prevent blisters, chafing and promotes ultimate comfort. The ultra-zone ribbing in each pair of compression provides targeted arch and ankle stabilization for runners, cyclists, and all athletes. Those on their feat all day are also able to benefit from using Zensah compression socks. Everyone is able to benefit from using Zensah compression socks. I bought this product to help with my Achilles Tendinitis, and it does for the most part. The issue's that I've having are the fit and quality. I'm a size 13-14 M and this is the biggest size that Zensah makes and it says that it should fit. However the fit is tight enough that I can barely get the socks on. I end up reversing the sock and spending 5 minutes fighting with them, some days I just give up and go with normal socks. Once they're on I'll admit that they work well.
I've owned these socks for just over 1 month and put on maybe 200 miles of jogging. They've now started to develop a hole, in one sock. I'm going to contact the company directly to see what my options are as I'm past the 30 days return policy on Amazon. All of my jogging friends raved about Zensah so either I have a defective pair of my foot size is too large. If you're a size 13+ I would consider another type of sock or brand.
These Zensah socks are great. I have owned them for about a year, and just bought another pair since I have upped the frequency of my runs. Let's get right to what I like: 1) NO BLISTERS. They prevent my feet from getting blisters on long runs (5+ miles)! Which is good. Because blisters are not fun. 2) WARM. They keep my feet warm in subfreezing temperatures. I have run in temperatures as low as 7 Fahrenheit wearing these socks and running shoes. Running shoes are very thin, so I give a lot of credit to these socks! 3) WICKS MOISTURE. My feet don't get really sweaty wearing these. Probably the cause of #1 (no blisters) but somehow it's like your feet barely sweat in most conditions. Everyone sweats differently. Your mileage may vary. 4) MADE WITH DUMMIES LIKE ME IN MIND. You see that logo on the sock that is on the front, toward the top (knee)? That is not just for looks. It helps you put the sock on straight! You center that on your foot and on...
I have several problems with my left side when running, the two biggest are posterior shin splints, partially collapsed arch which causes my ankle to hurt. I was using the Zensah compression sleeve for my shin splints and they worked wonders, but I still needed ankle support. So I tried these socks since I heard many great reviews, and they work! I have done 3 runs around 3-4 miles each so far and NO ANKLE PROBLEMS! My shin also feels good. I don't get quite the compression on my calf as I did with the sleeve, however, it does still do the job and now I can run without the issues. Definitely going to get another pair very soon. They are pricey but worth the investment.
I am 5'4" and a size 8-8.5 shoe depending on the shoe. I ordered the medium and it fits good. If you want the sock to fit tighter then go with a small, but seems comfortable for me.
