Agate geodes are metamorphic rock, created through volcanic activity. Found at many archaeological sites, agate was abundant in ancient times, used for hardstone carving.
Bright colors and smooth surfaces make agate slices the ideal stone for art, learning or decoration. These slices of agate are polished on both sides to show the real beauty of agate. Each set of 12 slices comes in a protective velvet bag with a Zentron information sheet.
Each agate slice in this set has been hand selected for quality and beauty. Each agate slice comes with a small hole drilled near the top for use in jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets. Each stone lot will vary slightly in appearance due to the uniqunity of the geode from which it is cut.
