- Installation: locate your existing tailgate lamp or pre-drilled screw holes below the tailgate or above the license plate for a simple swap; if your truck does not come with reserved holes, you’ll need to drill to mount the durable metal ID light bar, which bolts to the truck body as ground and requires routing only one wire to the license plate light positive
