It has an automatic adjustable thermostat and humidistat. The motor is thermally protected and permanently lubricated for long lasting performance. Product dimensions: 15x8x15. Hardwired required. Install behind shutters for protection from rain. Shutter sold separately. Automatic adjustable built-in thermostat included.

Good price for a gable fan w/humidistat. A few things to keep in mind though: (1) The brackets are not assembled to the unit (saves space for shipping, I guess), and they come with tiny little machine screws and washers. You definitely want to assemble the brackets before you go up in the attic. (2) The control box comes with a rubber grommet in the wiring cut-out, but you need to use a cable clamp. Unfortunately, there is no clearance to tighten the cable clamp nut inside the box, unless you loosen up the screws on the back holding the humidity circuit in place. Not something you want to do standing on the rafters in a hot attic, trust me. Assemble a cable clamp to the control box before you reach the attic. (3) The armored wire from the fan to the control box was about 8" shorter than on the fan I replaced, luckily I had enough slack in the wiring to reach it but that could have been a chore to deal with (again, balancing on rafters in a hot attic). (4) I installed it, set it to...
I've had an attic fan for 12+ years of good service, they help, and because I've had it a long time thought it might be time to switch it out. Maybe the new ones would be a bit more efficient and a bit quieter. I looked around and decided to replace it with this one. This one did not save on any noise and the thermostat turns on the fan but it does not turn the fan off (super annoying since installed). I've sent an email to Amazon about getting a replacement thermostat (can't find the manufacturer online) and we'll see how that goes. Fan works fine. Thermostat does not. (Hope to switch out thermostat without removing the fan).
I've given it three stars as attic fans are helpful in cooling the attic but this one does not work properly. I will give an update on the thermostat once I know more. In the meantime, be cautious in buying and / or test before installing.
Installed this Gable Fan myself and found that the whole attic space dropped from 156 F down to 119 F over 2 days. That's almost 40 degrees that will not penetrate into our ceilings and wall and make us spend more on Air Conditioning. This Fan is saving us $$$$ to take to the Bank. My next project is to swap out the long corrigated duct runs (35' and 50' ) respectively for unrestricted-flowing solid pipe ducting with heavy insulation around both of them. I did this in our South Carolina home and got our Master Bedroom and Bath back to a usable state. Even put away the fans for summer and the heater for winter. But , from I see here in Las Vegas, I am going to go a few steps further and install return vents and ducts to pull the dead air out of those Long Haul Rooms. This step will make the A/C unit (4 Ton) breathe easier. Now are you ready for more bang for your buck. I consulted with a A/C tech who asked me if I really needed a Supply Vent in the hallway Laundry Room and...
