Picture rail hooks are used on picture rail moulding to hang art without making nail or screw holes in your wall.

These strong rail hooks are made in the USA out of steel and do not bend easily by hand, but you can adjust or bend them on the molding. The 1/2 inch width of the hook rests securely on the picture rail. The brass finish on the picture rail hook is a traditional color for moulding hooks.

Picture rail molding was popular in older homes and many times the molding has been painted several times. We have tested these picture moulding hooks on a variety of mouldings covered in paint and also on newer mouldings with no paint to make sure they work. The picture hook profile fits the majority of mouldings and can be slightly adjusted against the wood to fit.

When hanging small art or pictures, you can use one picture rail hook. If your artwork is larger in size or heavier, we suggest using two hooks on the moulding and running your wire or cord from each hook to your artwork.
