Aquatic Life Color Changing Deionization Filter Cartridge for Twist-in Units, 1 Each
Product Description
Aquatic Life Color Changing Deionization Filter Cartridge for Twist-in Units, 1 Each
- COLOR-CHANGING DEIONIZATION RESIN – The Mixed-Bed Deionization Filter Cartridge contains positive Cations and negative Anions. DI Resin physically changes color from Blue to Tan when depleted.
- REDUCES TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS TO ZERO – The deionization resin is necessary to reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) to zero in the final stage of an RO/DI system. It uses ion exchange to remove TDS from water.
- SIMPLE TWIST-IN DESIGN – The Twist-In deionization filter cartridge is designed to simply twist into the pivoting head on the Aquatic Life 75 and 100 GPD Models of the Twist-In RO/DI units.
- TRANSLUCENT LOWER FOR EASY VIEWING – This DI filter cartridge has a translucent lower polyethylene housing for easy viewing of the resin to know when it's time to replace the cartridge.
- UNSURPASSED QUALITY AND SATISFACTION – AquaticLife manufactures an assortment of aquarium and water filtration equipment. Every product that goes out the door meets our highest quality and standards.
Aquatic Life twist-in color changing deionization filter cartridge: replace when the resin color changes completely. After the water is filtered by a membrane (not included), there is usually a small amount of total dissolved solids (tds) left in the water. In certain non-drinking water applications, it is important to remove the remaining tds from the water. This is accomplished by filtering the water through a resin that is charged with cation and anion resins (H+ and oh-). as the resin absorbs the tds, it will change color. When the entire resin has changed color, it is time to replace the di cartridge. The new twist-in media cartridge design makes filter changes simple, easy and clean – no tools required and no mess! the twist-in cartridges can be easily changed in only seconds with just a quarter turn and without contact with used filter material. It is important the cartridges are installed post membrane filter to prolong the life of the deionization cartridge. Working pressure: minimum 35 psi, maximum 80 psi, ideal 65 psi.
