Lean Six Sigma Project Execution Guide: The Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE) Process Improvement Project Roadmap

Provided in this text is a consistent lean Six Sigma Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) roadmap methodology, which can be readily referenced when executing organizational improvement projects. This roadmap guidebook provides a vehicle which expedites the tool-application learning process and improves the efficiency/effectiveness of experienced-practitioner coaching sessions.

Roadmap: A detailed step-by-step process for selecting and applying various Six Sigma/Lean tools and techniques to meet all the improvement process project deliverables.

Application of tools: High-level summary of what is expected in each phase of the DMAIC roadmap and what tools should be considered.

Lean and Six Sigma tools: Described in the DMAIC roadmap is a true integration of lean and Six Sigma tools so that the right tool is used at the correct time to improve the improvement project s process-output response.

Check sheets: High-level check lists for each project phase are provided, which can be used by improvement practitioners (e.g., lean Six Sigma Black Belts, Green Belts), Champions, and/or executives to ensure that all major DMAIC phase requirements have been considered when executing an improvement project.

Tools: A high-level description of many tools is provided, in which reference is given to sections of the associated texts, Integrated Enterprise Excellence Volume III and Integrated Enterprise Excellence Volume II, which can be read for more details.
