The Hyperion Schubert Edition 7 / Elly Ameling, Graham Johsnon

Elly Ameling is, of course, one of the great lieder singers of the century, and Hyperion was fortunate to obtain her services at the end of her career, but still in good vocal estate. The highlight of this exceptionally varied program comes at the end in the form of the three Mignon songs--texts by Goethe that Schubert responded to with particular sympathy.
