War between heaven and hell is coming, but Dante Walker makes it look damn good.
Dante's girlfriend, Charlie, is fated to save the world. And Aspen, the girl who feels like a sister, is an ordained soldier. In order to help both fulfill their destiny and win the war, Dante must complete liberator training at the Hive, rescue Aspen from hell, and uncover a message hidden on an ancient scroll. Dante is built for battle, but even he can't handle the nightmares where spiders crawl from Aspen's eyes, or the look on Charlie's face that foretells of devastation. To make matters worse, the enemy seizes every opportunity to break inside the Hive and cripple the liberators. But the day of reckoning is fast approaching, and to stand victorious, Dante will have to embrace something inside himself he never has before—faith.

I can’t believe this was the final book!! I’ve come to really enjoy this books, Dante was a great character, I loved his sense of humor, his charisma, his attitude… so it’s kind of sad to say goodbye but I think Victoria made a great job on The Warrior, one is always anxious about the how a story is going to end but I’m glad to say I’m pleased with what we get here.
The time for battle is coming closer and Dante and Charlie are getting ready for it, they’re all trying to gain more knowledge about what’s to come, how they can defeat evil and they’re also training, hoping to become stronger if they want to survive this. They gang is also affected by Aspen being in hell, Dante feels especially guilty about it. So yeah, things are looking pretty grim for them, on top of that they’re being constantly attacked, the situation can’t stay like these much longer.
I really liked that on this book you get to...
So it’s taken me wayyy too long, but I have finally read Victoria Scott’s The Warrior, which brings us a spine-tingling conclusion to the Dante Walker trilogy! Granted, since it’s been so long, I have forgotten a chunk of details, but I was able to dive fairly easily into this one! Enough was recapped that I was totally on board with what was going down!
We pick up where we left things, which is in dire predicaments. Aspen is trapped in Hell, Hell still has Charlie’s soul, but Dante now has his returned. He, Charlie and their friends of Liberators are working together to prepare for war. War between Heaven and Hell is coming and it will be catastrophic. Charlie and a new member of the crew, an old man named Oswald who’s pretty kooky but wise beyond reason, work to decipher the scroll that basically tells us what will happen with this impending war.
This was a pretty fast read for me, the pacing was remarkable in that we hardly ever...
Ok, so I'll admit it: I love this series but every one of the books for some reason leaves me with a bad feeling. I don't know why, maybe it only happens to me or maybe you feel the same way.
This is the final book to "The Collector" series, and I found it way lacking. The whole first half of the book is soooooo boring. I swear, I kept skipping ahead because NOTHING was happening. They train for literally 3/4ths of the book. There's only so much "I kicked him, and he hit me back"'s I can take before I start rolling my eyes.
And maybe Victoria Scott knew this and that's why she tried adding so many sex scenes between Dante and Charlie, but even those were boring. I mean, come on, it seems like all she did was copy and paste the same scene over and over and just changed the dialogue a little. So, yeah, I skipped those too.
Then there's this whole "God's giving us a riddle" thing, which in theory seems cool. But what each line...
